Who would you trip with?

Who would you most want to trip with? It can be anyone alive or dead.
I would personally like to trip with Descartes. I don't have much of a reason except his views on mind and body are mind blowing (no pun intended). So I think he would truly appreciate the effects that psychedelics have on the mind.

Abraham Lincoln. Because he battled manic-depression while acheiving great things... and worked so hard to achieve his goals in life. Plus he looked damn cool, I'm sure his hat and beard would entertain me for a long while.

i would love to trip with hendrix, no strictly for his musical talent but his views on life are so insightful. personally i have always been able to relate to his words and his music greatly. i think it would be an amazing, groovy, and enlightening trip. i mean come on, this guy could take two hits of the best acid ever laid and then go up onstage and perform excellently. thats saying something in my book. and yea i realize lots of musicians took acid and played but most of the time it sounded like shit (listen to some of the early dead shows when they were all frying their brains out) and it didn't happen often. his vibes are just great in my book. jimi and i would drop five hundred mics and just chill, i'd listen to him speak, he'd listen to me speak and maybe just maybe he'd feel inclined to pick up his guitar and melt my face off

My father too, actually. I don't think he'd consider it now but I understand I inherited my interest in psychedelics from him.
Other than that, I have silly little daydreams of smoking DMT and meeting the ghost of Terence McKenna.

Well, as some others have said tripping with my parents comes to mind but it doesn't have the same allure as other options since it may happen yet.
So, ignoring that, this one is easy. Providing it were even possible a trip in the company of Hunter S Thompson and some of his friends, like Kesey perhaps would be more than memorable.

Anyone else have good friends that love tripping when their sober and end up getting completely tossed in a bad way.. everytime.?
What bugs me the most is the ones who cant handle their shit are the ones who always want to take more next time??

My girlfriend. I don't think it would happen, really, since she doesn't do anything (in terms of drugs.)
Though she has said that she would "do lots of acid" if she had 3 months to live... So that's a start I guess...

I spent about 4 hours tripping right next to Alex Gray at burning man on '06. Too bad that doesn't count because he wasn't on anything. Damnit! I knew I should have kept some tea for someone else! lol
I'd also like to just have a huge place set up where everyone doses and you don't know anyone so you just go around meeting new people that are on drugs too. I guess that's what burning man is almost, lol. But really... if you could fill a big, comfy room with cool people that you didn't know and just meet some great new friends, it'd be nice. I guess I'm saying I want more friends. Lonely.

opensaysme said: i would love to trip with hendrix, no strictly for his musical talent but his views on life are so insightful. personally i have always been able to relate to his words and his music greatly. i think it would be an amazing, groovy, and enlightening trip. i mean come on, this guy could take two hits of the best acid ever laid and then go up onstage and perform excellently. thats saying something in my book. and yea i realize lots of musicians took acid and played but most of the time it sounded like shit (listen to some of the early dead shows when they were all frying their brains out) and it didn't happen often. his vibes are just great in my book. jimi and i would drop five hundred mics and just chill, i'd listen to him speak, he'd listen to me speak and maybe just maybe he'd feel inclined to pick up his guitar and melt my face off

This post made me happy.

Da Pope
Or any seriously devout religious figure, I have a very special psychedelic recipe that allows interaction with God. I would be curious if they changed their opinions or belief system afterwards. A research experiment if you will. I changed a friend who was deeply Christian, he'd go on and on wanting to argue or discuss and change people. He was 20 at the time, had it all figured out. A few hours later, he realized how full of shit he was. Same with some buddhist monks or Dalai Lama, just to gauge their reaction to my secret recipe of 11 herbs and spices. Perhaps Descartes but I cant speak french

The only person that I would really like to trip with is my grandfather. He was always a cool guy when I was younger, but then he died when I was 16. I am sure he would have made a good trip partner.
As for anyone famous I don't think I could say, because I don't actually know anyone famous. For me to trip around someone I have to know them really well and have a good opinion of them. That last time I tripped with someone I didn't know too well I wigged out, but now I am best friends with that guy.
I just like to make sure I know someone before I go and trip with them, because people get on my nerves pretty bad when I am tripping.

Simon Posford, just to talk music and life. Actually, throw in Ott too and just listening to the two of them make music would be mind-melting.
Terrance McKenna to talk about themes like spiritual guidance, etc. Alex Grey is also another person I would love to trip with, even if he was just guiding me through all of his artwork. Absolutely phenomenal. And lastly, Neil Fallon (from the band Clutch), so we could jam and write the craziest fucking lyrics ever.
Sinead O'Connor.

that's when you show her that she doesn't truly know she will be alive in 3 months
