pinkish peyote seedlings

after 2 weeks of being in high humidity they are all turning a pinkish colour... anyone know why?

If I remember right pink = too much ligh, yellow = not enough light.

NO NO NO you cannot do that to a peyote seedling, they will burn up bigger than shit dude.
Grow them under a compact flouro about 15-20 inches above them. If they stretch a little lower it.

That is very likely the problem. Direct sunlight is way to strong for cacti seedlings.

If you can't use artificial light, I'd say put it in a south facing window...but get a 2nd opinion...I'm the village idiot

I agree with a small modification: use something to give them a bit of shade(hang a piece of cloth on the window) if you have them in a south facing window. They don't like strong light at all when this small. If they get to little sun they'll become lighter and start stretching and if that happens just change the piece of cloth to something that is more transparent.

when my seedlings show signs they aren't ready for the light i have them under, I stick a spent dryer sheet over them, every few weeks i take it off, when they stop going pink, i leave it off and they go BOOM!

dryer sheets, toilet paper, tyvek, paper towel. All of those are good for shading.
IMO Too much heat and not enough light causes stretching realy badly.
