Back to work? I hope so!

Well it's been a year now since my stroke...and I'm getting pretty bored sitting on my ass 24/7. The Ontario government is nice enough to provide me with living expenses each month, but it isn't much.
So with some hesitation I began casually looking for a job last week. It has to be something that doesn't require driving (I don't have a license) and something which doesn't require heavy lifting. So I sent out a couple resumes via email to some local computer shops.
I just got a reply! Have my first "meet and greet" next Thursday!
I think it was my cover letter that got him. I was sure to mention the fact that I am a stroke survivor, and mention it FIRST before I get to the part about me not having any certifications
Hook, line, and sinker.

Nice work dude. I wish you the best of luck in landing the gig.

Remember this if you get hung up on a question: just say the following "I will try to do the right thing and have a positive attitude." works every time

I use something of the same sentence!
Except I don't say "try".....just "I will"
In my experience it's always better to let people know you will do something....not that you'll "try" to do it. Forget about whether or not you can actually do whatever you say your going to do...leave that for later when the situation actually arrives! The word "try" shouldn't even be in your dictionary, when an interview is in process.

Had the interview this morning, and I must say: I've never had a more laid-back interview!
I hear back from him sometime next week.
