that don't look like a clone to me! but maybe that you didn't put no casing layer is what made it look like that! or did you???
maybe time will tell!!good luck!
and post some more pics when they are mature!

yes but the thing is that when you work with a clone almost always there is an even pinset and and the shrooms all look the same!and that's not the case in here!
when i find a good comparison ill post it!

no man, a clone is a clone, and that can be anything. i could start cloning for genetic mutations, or even NON-mushroom producing strains. this clone could be of a shitty pinset clone, but one that eats contaminations nontheless.

A clone looks just like every other mushroom that looks like itself. By the way what contaminates did it eat? cobweb?trich?penicillin?

I would start a second generation clone with the nicest fruit of this batch. If indeed it does eat contamination and is able to somewhat fruit, I would be pulling out the petri dishes and start getting to work!

Very often, the damaged, blue-gray mycelium that results from shaking is mistaken for contaminant molds. RR

I dont understand how this would work.Wouldnt they just join together? isnt cube mycelium compatible with trich or cobweb?

How is this possible I know that you could do an isolate of a non-mushroom producing substrain but how to do a shitty pinset isolate,,, either it pins or it don't and it will grow at the same rate if provided the same conditions.
but how will you isolate a substrain that sometimes it grows, some times it don't grow and at different rates?
I really would love to learn more about how is this possible.

I'm no expert but it seems to me that when you clone mushroom tissue you're in fact cloning mycelium. And it's quite possible that one myc has a genetic trait which produces its fruit evenly all at the same time while another has a trait which produces its fruit unevenly.

Cube mycelium will not join with trich or cobweb. Anastomosis is the pairing of dikaryotic mycelium with other dikaryotic mycelium. In other words, combining strains, but not species. For example, Penis Envy could combine with cambodian cubensis via anastomosis, but neither could combine with oyster, shiitake, or mold. RR
