tyvek, above or below your jar lids, how do you do it?

Allright, ive seen numerous pics of peeps putting the tyvek both above and below there disks/lids of their jars.
Im planning on putting my tyvek on my jar first, then the disc/lid, followed by the ring.
is there a reason as to why a person would prefer to do it one way over another?

pic of the way agar does his jars. which is exactly how im planning to do mine.

Yes. You want the tyvek to remain dry, even when you shake the jars. Place the lid down first, then the tyvek, followed by the screw-on ring. RR

okay. ill do it that way then. I was wondering about the tyvek getting wet.
Do you just use micropore tape to cover the injection hole after you inoculate?
i was gonna mess with making a silicone injection port for a few jars and see how i like that? but if the tyveks covering the silicone, well, that just wouldnt make much sense imo.
im probably just over complicating it and dont need the silicone for anything at all.

You can also put a layer of tyvek, and then the lid and then another tyvek layer.

you could unscrew the lids and inject your solution that way. like g2g with a liquid innoculant. I also like the tyvek above and below the lid. if i'm working with a small grain like wbs that could touch the tyvek through the fae holes

cut square of tyvek a bit bigger than your lid and form it to your jar first by placing lid on jar then tyvek square then screw on ring punch holes in lid silicone the outermost edge of the top of the lid and apply preformed tyvek over lid...punch a hole through the tyvek at injection site(s) and silicone both ends. then push into ring and screw onto empty jar, keeping in mind not to let the tyvek rotate or you may throw off your injection sites. let sit 24 hours. i use this with LC jars (2 holes in lid, 1 hole through tyvek, siliconed) and it works great, ive had 1 jar i used 17 times the last month all clean, and stores perfect even in a full fridge.
