microwaving should be done only when you have no other options.
You live on the west coast. What do you know about GOOD corn on the cob?
I agree with pong, and I live in Wisconsin so what do YOU know about good corn :p

Wisconsin??? LMFAO!
That's where they grow corn for animal feed! That fat yellow mealy crap!
There's no better corn grown in the country than what's grown in the northeast (New England, mainly) is famous for its native "Butter & Sugar" corn.
Get a clue!

so shut yo mouth fool!

What bunch of crapola!
If any of that bullshit were true fact, microwaves would be outlawed for food preparation in the U.S.A.
Almost every household has one and every restaurant has one and nobody's getting sick, so STFU, fool!
actually their are studys that say it has merit.
and to date, their is no way to prove a microwave causes cancer, because it could happen over time, continuous/longterm exposer.
it is also said, that microwaves change the nutrients in food, into a form our body can't easily recognize. the consequences are unknown. something about damaging our DNA as well.

i forgot to mention their are study's/evidence/proof that microwaves DO change food. its just we don't know what its doing to us....since we don't know/can't proof what its doing....it must be ok right? i mean thats what the common man would say right?

Well, then at my age (47) and having been using microwaves since 1977, I should probably be sick or dead or something.

or maybe it causes cancer, or maybe its being used as a form of mind control, google it.
the gov. did studys on the effect of microwaves and the mind, something about people are more eazily controlled.
no conspiracy theory if the goverment used tax dollars and spent years researching it.
it does alot more than magicly cook food in minutes. there is always consiquences for going against nature, and thats a rule.

people always make a big deal about what method they use to cook the corn, but i say it doesn't matter at all. what flavor are you honestly getting into your corn by cooking on a propane grill or from boiling in a pot of water? none i tell you. it's just corn.

The gov. did studys on the effect of microwaves and the mind, something about people are more eazily controlled.
Those were experiments on beaming the actual microwaves into someone's head.
As no microwaves escape a (properly) working microwave oven....the govt research on the subject has no effect here.

That is very true
Notice how every microwave includes a metallic screen on the door? Now notice how small the holes in the screen are?
Realize that the wavelength of the microwaves used is 12.24 cm...
In effect, that little screen appears to be a solid wall to any microwave that hits it. The microwave just turns around and continues to bounce around inside the oven.

There is no half-life for microwaves
Assuming a properly working microwave oven...the oven can only go on producing microwaves for 0.01-0.1 seconds after the beep or after the door is opened. As you couldn't get the door more than off it's latch in that time...I don't think you have to worry about microwaves
