Gills: grayish green color more grey with brown around the edge (circumfrence of the umbrella)

sounds like the toxic Chlorophyllum molybdites, the probably the mushroom most commonly mistaken for P. cubensis in the gulf states. if you have any trouble telling these two species apart, you need to take a close look at both and compare the differences. the similarities are only superficial.
--------------------
Attn PWN hunters: If you should come across a bluing Psilocybe matching P. pellicolusa please smell it. If you detect a scent reminiscent of Anethole (anise) please preserve a specimen or two for study and please PM me.

Sounds like you just described the Moly in my front yard, lol. Yeah, by that description I'd have to say no go.
-------------------- My favorites are weeping willows, which aren't really weeping at all. They're very wispy, witty and will dance in the breeze with you. Nothing like a tree that wants to dance with you. Although it doesn't like its thin limbs being pulled at all, it absolutely LOVES it when you walk through them, letting them gently slide over your face and shoulders. If you're naked, the willow considers it to be sex. It will orgasm on your mind and you will blow dream chunks into outer space. All very fun until your neighbor sees you. -The Joekenorer

My goal is to eventually make sets of picture of every stage of growth so i can just put them side by side in one picture, so newbs to cubes wont mix them up with green gills anymore...
like all the different cap colors at every stage of its life, the viel the blueing at diferent stages and everything
people need to stop mixing it up

As much as I love Cube pics here, I haven't seen any that look EXACTLY like the the ones here. And none of the ones here look like the ones where I grew up. (Which, coincidentally, don't quite match the ones here either). Genetics are fascinating.

yeah i tossed a cake in some HPOO with golden teaches last week.
But lets just say the spores fell in the mulch, i wasnt growing them or nothing

blueing

Gills

cap

Purpleish veil

I guess based on the top i can see how someone new to cubes MIGHT think green gills is a cubensis, but if you look for the other traits there all there...
I love genetics of mushrooms also
Even though the mycelium of the Golden Teacher inoculated the SAME hpoo from the field i find my cubes and its the same climate, the golden teachers have a diferent look then my native texas wild cubes!
Its awesome

Wow, Imp. Those actually look very close to whats growing here. You say they are golden teacher? Because that would be an apt title.

Slang doesn't bother me. That has puncuation, and is not representative of a different word with an unrelated meaning.
Such as: where were wear we are we're
All different words, with different meanings. They should not be substituted for one another!!

Actually, it does make reading more difficult!! I know, it is hard to believe, but if i start reading a large paragraph, and within the first two sentences (or run-on sentence) there are numerous substitutes of these common words, and i am not amused, i scroll to the next post and don't read the paragraph, 'cause it just makes me go "Wait... what did- OH, okay....."

There are 7 letters in "teyepin", versus 6 in "typing". There are 4 letters in "nouw", versus 3 in "now".

Uh huh. And usually, it is the intelligence-challenged that resort to one word for 3 or 4 similarly spelled words with separate meanings. I do not think you are an idiot, but certainly, mispellings do not strengthen credibility.
....Don't you wish i had more free time?

Oh, it bugs the shit out of me, but I won't hold it against you. You are most likely the product of public schooling, and the abandonment of teaching phonics along with sub-par enforcement of grammatical rules has ruined your generation.
Don't take that personally, my nephews are just as ruined, and they're about your age. It's not your fault, it's systemic.
I love you anyway, implee.

I allow for some discussion aside from the original topic. It is good to establish communication and understanding among a group of people with a common interest, so, this serves a purpose. Though, I was considering moving the thread, dependent on how much longer it continued off topic. I probably won't need to. Moving threads unnecessarily leads to confusion.

yeah. If it's not directly in shit, it's probably not a cube. Unless there is buried shit... or shit mixed with something (mulch).
