 How much does your 1/8th weigh or half of shrooms usually.

I was wondering if your to receive or give away and 8th, Gram, Half, Ounce. What do you go by on your scale? do you acutuly get exactly an half ounce, or a 8th of an ounch of shrooms, or is it off. tell me so when i receive of give some how much i should have when i weigh it.

Everyone I know does their measuring on the grams scale...
1oz ~ 28 grams
1/2oz ~ 14 grams
1/4oz ~ 7 grams
1/8oz ~ 3.5 grams

an 1/8 is 3.5g
an ounce is 28g, half of which is 14g
and a gram...well

I don't think I get what you're asking exactly. Just weigh them up in one of those 1 gram sandwich bags and then give them one more gram than usual to make up for the bag. Only do this type of thing if you're 18 or older though.

one gram baggy. the stuff that weed usually comes in. but with what we got it usually weighs. 1.4 grams for a gram bag. with weed

Yeah, there are sandwich baggies that are 1 gram. So you put the weed or shrooms in there and instead of giving them 3.5 grams, you give them 4.5 grams to make up for the weight of the baggie.

I see now...he was talking about the weight of the bag.
I think my baggies always weighed .8g or something, but I'll check *goes to get scale*
OK my baggies weigh .9g
But anyways, the only real way to know how much you got of any substance is to take it out and weigh it in something that you know the mass of and then subtract the weight of the container from the total weight of container+unknownsubstance and you'll have the weight of your unknownsubstance.

i don't really know which baggies are "1 gram baggies", but the surefire way to accommodate the weight of the bag is to calibrate the scale with an empty bag on it, then swap it out for the full bag you want to weigh.

and while we're on the subject of baggies.. i really hate the fact that i have to receive my weed in shitty little plastic baggies. the precious trichomes break off and stick to the inside of the bags, never to be seen again. it's a damn shame.
at some point in the not too distant future, i'd like to be able to harvest my own bud, and it will never touch the inside of a plastic baggy again!

yea i tried growing my own bud a while ago, its simple but you need to have lots of time for it. what i do first is put the seed in a plastic container between to wet paper towels
and then it sprouts and you plant it from there when the shell is allmost completely off.

I, and most people I hang out with, go by what the US weighs gold at.
1 oz. -- 32 grams
1/2 oz. -- 16 grams
1/4 oz. -- 8 grams
1/8 oz. -- 4 grams
and I agree with whomever said a grams just a gram!!

By the way, a troy ounce (gold is weighed in troy ounces, not ounces) is 31.somethinglessthan5 grams, so 32 grams is inaccurate anyway.
And according to your measurements a gram is not just a gram, or at least there's not really a gram measurement in that system. The unit is grains, and a grain weighs around half of a gram I think.

Well I said that, but according to your definition, a gram is not really a gram. It's more like a 1g is actually equal to 1.12878g.
in the metric system, 1 oz.=28.349g

It does, but if he goes by what gold weighs in the US what he put out is actually wrong. Gold (and all precious metals) are weighed in troy ounces. One troy ounce weighs a little over 31 grams. What would be the equivalent (at least in my mind) of a gram in the troy ounce system is a grain, which weighs a little over half a gram if I recall correctly.
I'm sure Wikipedia gives exact measurements...

And I was way off, a grain is much much less than half a gram, so I suppose they aren't really the equivalents of each other. But yeah, either way a gram really isn't a gram in that system.

hmm...we measure our blackpowder in grains, but I'm fairly certain that they're weigh nowhere near a metric 1/2g.
If he's measuring in troy ounces, he lives in a great place.

I usually grow my own, I wish..haha but what does that matter?
my shrooms that i got a year ago were way over the original price, but a best friend was getting them for me so he hooked me up fat..

hahaha... even though this thread title has the words "shroom" in it, i automatically was thinking of bud. i don't ever refer to mushies in oz increments.. only grams. dunno why, but that's just me. ounces are for pot, grams are for mushies.
