LC stiring question
    #7392826 - 09/10/07 05:19 PM (16 years, 4 months ago)

Okay, I thought I had read somewhere about using a dime/nickle in the LC if you don't have a magnetic stirer but I can't seem to find where I read it. I've used the search tool several times to try to find it but it is lost to me. My question is this, is that really okay? My only "concern" would be the metal interfering with the mycelium growth. Before I drop something into my media and PC it, am I good with a coin or should I try something else?

Why is marijuana against the law? It grows naturally upon our planet. Doesn't the idea of making nature against the law seem to you a bit... unnatural?

Use a rock or a marble. Coin isn't going to work right, it's too flat.

Nail- if you have a magnetic stirrer?

Frankly, I haven't ever put anything into a jar, and haven't had a problem. I just got a magnetic stirrer, I'll be using screws in the future.
