Does anyone have a good suggestion on a book that contains information about mushroom history with shamans or with the mayans. Or a book about terence mckenna and his theories, or anything that has to do with the evolution of early man and mushrooms connecting language barriers or anything like that. Or anything on shamans in the amazon or anything about that? Just something that i can read in my free time just to know more about mushrooms and science.

A good book which dissects alot of the modern mythology surrounding psychedelic mushrooms is Shroom by Andy Letcher. If you're interested in McKenna's theories (which are not exactly scientific theories...), start with Food of The Gods. True Hallucinations is also a fun read. If you're interested in 'psychedelic shamanism' you might enjoy "Ayahuasca Visions" by Pablo Amaringo, a former 'vegetalista' (plant using "shaman") turned painter. If you want some real anthropologically accurate information about so-called shamanism, you might check out "Shamanism: A reader" by Graham Harvey...that was a text for a course I took. Some of the essays in it are pretty damn academic/dry however. If you want to read some wildly speculative/crackpot stuff about the Mayan/2012/Psychedelia connection, Daniel Pinchbeck's 2012: The Return of Quetzalcoatl is the place to look. If you want to read some BEAUTIFUL, poetic and accurate writing on drugs/drug use in general check out the Pharmako series by Dale Pendell (Pharmako/poeia, Pharmako/dynamis, Pharmako/gnosis).

Shroom would be a good start. I enjoyed his style and he hits a lot of the topics you are interested in reading about. Branch off from there.
