hi all, are these honey mushrooms?
Cap: apx 5-7cm, caramel brown, conical when young becoming wavy, depressed to funnel shaped at maturity.
Gills: White to yellowish white with age, forgot to check if they were freeadnexed etc. sorry.
Spore print: White
Stalk: Brown at base becoming whitish near cap, evidence of a partial veil present in younger specimens. Crisp, snaps like asparagus, hollow centre (Maggots maybe?)
Habitat: Found in the litter of an aspen grove, possibly growing from buried wood/mulch/humus/or soil, Central Inerior BC (P.G. area)

Some Hericium growing in the direct vicinity of the above:

Lawn Lactarious:

The first certainly looks like an Armillaria.
Hericium??? Where are you finding these- what state?? CA?
The last photo looks like Gymnopilus luteofolius, an active species. Like these:

The first is probably honey mushrooms, the Hericium looks tasty, the Lactarius looks peppery, and I am not sure about the last one being G. luteofolius. The fibers on the cap don't seem quite right. I would like to see some more pictures of younger and older specimens, both sides of the cap.

I wish I could give you more pics Alan, but alas, my room-mate ruthlessly mowed the grass and shrooms shortly after I took the pics! :S and as far as Lutes go, the bigger specimens weren't so big, and there was no blue/green bruising. The more mature ones actually look more like cyans, but again no blueing and the cinnimon spore print tells me they are not.
Yeah those hericiums were YUUUUUMMMYYY I'm in B.C. Curecat

Agrocybe?
edit: saw the new pics after this post... I'd say either Agrocybe or perhaps Cortinarius.

yeah I was thinking agrocybe too, but once i figured out they weren't active or edible i wasn't too concerned about a %100 ID, I just posted their pics, cuz they're nice looking mushrooms all the same.
