Funniest horror movies ever (Intentional or not)
    #7390703 - 09/10/07 03:12 AM (16 years, 4 months ago)

I love watching cheesy horror movies when I'm stoned and I'm planning to have a bit of a marathon in a couple days so was hoping somebody else had some suggestions.

For example:

Evil Dead 2
Basket Case
Dead-Alive
Bad Taste
Killer Klowns from Outer Space
Shaun of the Dead
The Video Dead

I saw the post for Troll 2 so I'm getting that...

The one I watched last time I was smoking is Basket Case and it's one of the best horror movies I've seen, at least of the so bad it's awesome ones.

I'd have to go for Bad Taste and Brain Dead, directed by Peter Jackson many moons before he did that Lord of the Rings thing. They are freakn hilarious.

Snakes on a Plane (I watched this a couple days ago, and it is a CLASSIC)
Premutos: Lord of the Living Dead (This movie is at least 40% gorier than Dead Alive)
The Exorcist (It can no longer be scary for me. My friends and I made it funny)

I pretty much just woke up, so that is all I can thinl of using my hazy head at the moment.

Oh, one of my fave topics!

I will skip the more obvious ones and point you to some more obscure gems:

Motel Hell. Some of the funniest lines ever in a horror movie. Manages to make cannibalism funny. The line about Bob the meat inspector is priceless.

Dellamorte Dellamore. In spite of the title this one is in English. Undead love is the topic and it is very funny in a quirky sort of way.

Return of the Living Dead. Very campy. Rock n roll teens meet the living dead and hole up in a mortuary. The zombie/ambulance scene is hilarious.

The Lair of the White Worm. Campy Scottish movie. Based on a Bram Stoker novel. The hallucination scenes are mind-blowingly intense- like an acid trip or something. Very unique vibe and music shot on location in Scotland.

I wish I could watch Frankenhooker. Blockbuster doesn't carry it.

Also several Fulci zombie movies are never available and I also want to see Brain Damage. So many horror movies that I can't see.

Pervert! is really good too, I'm gonna spoil a little of pervert just because it will make you wanna go see it....

So this guys dick becomes evil, and starts murdering people. His dick is detached from his body and when it moves its a little claymation dick. But when the dick is chasing people ( jason style ) they just drag a dildo across a field with a rope and follow it with the camera...priceless.

There is also a 2006 movie I have not seen about killer sheep called 'Black Sheep'.

Plot Outline: An experiment in genetic engineering turns harmless sheep into blood-thirsty killers that terrorize a sprawling New Zealand farm.

Yeah, I find it's best to go in with low expectations and drink lots of beer while watching with friends. Even if parts of the movie sucks you and your drunk or high friends will find a way to make it entertaining.

Prepare yourself for utter nonsense. I hold it very highly in my B-movie collection.

Another good one is called "versus", it's an asain kung fu/zombie/sci fi flick, very funny and gory with some good fight scenes. Everybody dies twice.

I saw Versus a few months ago with a friend and we both loved it.
Highly recommended.

I just found another one somewhat similar to it called 'Battlefield Baseball'- a Japanese flick about baseball playing zombies. It is supposed to be totally insane.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0384832/

I believe some of the people who made Versus worked on this movie as well.

Found some info on an upcoming Bruce Campbell movie:

"My Name Is Bruce is an American horror film scheduled for release in October 2007, directed, co-produced by, co-written and starring B movie cult actor Bruce Campbell.

The plot revolves around Campbell, playing himself, who, after being harassed and mistaken by fans to be a character much like Ash from the Evil Dead series of horror films, is abducted from his fictional, trailer park home to fight against Guan Di, a Chinese war deity."

Sounds like fun.

Battlefield baseball is only ok, it doesn't hold a candle to battle royale. If you haven't seen BR yet, go rent it, definitely a must see.

For cheesy horror you can't go wrong with the sleepaway camp series and another one to check out is cemetary man.

Battle Royale is on my list to see but looks to be unavailable on dvd. And Cemetary Man is an alternate title for Dellamorte Dellamore which I recommended earlier.

Another movie I've heard about- Wild Zero.

Plot: "After a meteor strike aliens attack the earth and begin turning people into zombies. Rockers Guitar Wolf, Bass Wolf and Drum Wolf as well as their rock and roll blood brother Ace and his true love Tobio are caught in the middle of this madness."

This movie also has a drinking game included. If you turn the feature on a beer mug appears in the corner during certain events which remind you when to drink. And you will need reminding because you will be hammered by the end of the movie.

You have to drink everytime:

1. Someone says/yells ROCK N' ROLL!!!!!!
2. Something shoots fire/explodes
3. Someone combs their hair
4. Someone in the movie drinks
5. A zombie's head explodes

Japanese horror can be pretty good for a laugh, my sis got me a copy of biozombie for xmas a few years back and it's definitely worth seeing at least once.

I saw a really bad horror movie the other weekend.. called "Skinned Deep". It had the Willow midget in it, as a weird plate throwing dude... horrid movie, very fun to make fun of with drunk/high friends.

I am looking for some Fulci horror movies but my blockbuster online says they are coming soon..they've been saying that for months. I'm trying to find someone with a netflix membership to burn me a copy of The Beyond and Brain Dead- another movie I can't get.

Anyway, Fulci is the Italian splatter master. I have seen a couple of his films and they are pretty good and very gory.

Another couple of good horror comedies ( more mainstream ) are Fright Night and Lost Boys.

Also Return of the Living Dead is a great, funny zombie movie and the sequels are pretty good too.

The Stuff is very funny - yogurt-like product is marketed as the latest rage but starts killing people.

One I want to see : Jesus Christ: Vampire Killer
