how was this guy let go? three vials of acid is not something they let people go easily for. not to mention the possibly illegal herb and pipe, but that is questionable because there is many legal green herbs

Perhaps you understand this and perhaps not, I cant tell from your post... but he is definitely not just being let go, recognizance just means they are not going to hold him in jail until his court date. This guy will certainly be summoned to court though, don't you worry they will get him good.

Abbie is one of my best friends. It took forever but they finally got him to court. He was sentenced 8 months and has served one. I googled him and this is what popped up. Yes he was an idea but he didn't snitch on anyone. He actually took the blame for his roommates weed when his house was searched.
And his cell phone and the "leafy green stuff" wasn't in the package. That was found in his house. The phone was returned to him not the pot. THat was just bad reporting.

From the USPS FAQ:
Quote:
4. Can Postal Inspectors open mail if they feel it may contain something illegal? First-Class letters and parcels are protected against search and seizure under the Fourth Amendment to the Constitution, and, as such, cannot be opened without a search warrant. If there is probable cause to believe the contents of a First-Class letter or parcel violate federal law, Postal Inspectors can obtain a search warrant to open the mailpiece. Other classes of mail do not contain private correspondence, and therefore may be opened without a warrant.
However, on December 20, 2006, Georgy Jr issued a "signing statement" (legality of this is questionable) on a postal reform bill that declared his right to open any postal mail under emergency conditions, contrary to existing law and contradicting the bill that he had just signed.
Quote:
"The [Bush] signing statement claims authority to open domestic mail without a warrant, and that would be new and quite alarming," said Kate Martin, director of the Center for National Security Studies in Washington.
a year later I disagree... The law hasn't really changed with bush's signerature
I don't know if its every been tested, but there is always the exigent circumstances reasonableness presumption for things involving personal harm.
And Bush's signing statements are worthless, and I don't know that they've, signing statements, ever been used, much less ruled to be, constitutional.
I take them more as a "screw you" to congress than law per se.
I think they are probably constitutional in a sense, but by no means of nay authority whatsoever.

if you're gonna fucking mail lsd do it right, crystal or lay that shit. You could be a cunt and literally soak a bible, haha, that would be the ultimate bible. I have friends who have soaked alice and wonderland books and then stitched it all back together with a new cover and spine.
