LC Tek

I read an LC tek and its instructions were to:
EDIT, Here is the post: http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php?Number=5238137&page=0
-Boil water with jar in it for 30 minutes -fill jar about 3/4 with the water -mix in 1tbsp of honey for every 250ml water -cover jar with aluminum - boil or PC for 30 minutes -let cool for like 12 hours or overnight -inoculate with 2cc of spore solution
I was going to try this, but I don't want to waste any spore solution, so does this method sound ok? It is recommended for an absolute beginner, which I am, so should I try this out?
Is there a different one I should use?
Thanks!

Agreed. And 2cc is plenty of spore water- half that will be fine.

Yeah - don't waste your spores. Use .75cc to 1cc. That will be plenty.

with that half pint jar, you could inoculate 200+ jars if you use 1 cc per jar...

Yep. I use about 1 to 1.5 for half pints, and 2-3 for quarts. And of course, you can make more LC from the LC too. Switch up the recipes, you don't want the myc to get bored. If you use karo one time, use honey the next, etc.

And thanks for that link Adam! I'll try making an LC in a tupperware now instead of a jar!

I have used that tek a few times its good for someone without a PC.If you have a PC go with the baby bottle tek of Agar's or even the one in my Sig.I always use 2 cc's of spore solution in my lc's but you can use less if you are more patient

Kk I just tried to make an LC
I found a 24oz plastic container I put about 2 pints of water in it (around 450-480mL) I then put in 2 tablespoons of honey into it. Covered with plastic, then put lid on (slightly ajar) I nuked it in the microwave for 5 minutes (the water boiled when it was in there) Then I took it out and sealed the ajar lid on tight It is cooling now and I am wondering if the amounts and procedure is ok, I will use 2cc's of spore solution since I did about double what I was planning on doing. Will it work out or did I mess up the proportions, ruin the honey when it was in the microwave, something else?
Thanks!
