Well is rained here yesterday for the first time in a while. Today i went out and look for some mushrooms. Spent 2 hours no luck. After i havd given up on the way back i saw some. The are big. About 4-5 inches across. whiteish color with like a little browish on top. I tried to brusie some but don't know really what i am doing. just stuck my finger in the stalk a little untill in made an indention. If anyone know what these may be that would be good. They were found in the woods. In NC!! Thanks for any help

Sounds kinda like Death Caps to me. Probaly are. Don't eat them, they could be deadly.

i also found some in my yard. They are quite a bit smalller.. small caps about the size of the end of my pinky. kinda a dark white. almost like a creamy gray. There are two brown spot on them. Black gills on the bottom. I don't know how they brusie. HOW do you do this?? I only found two of these in my front yard. Any ideas on what these may be.

Also do any shrooms grow on like tres, stick and that sort or thing?? I found o a few of these too but don't think they are anything but mushrooms.

You're not going to find anything of interest in the woods in NC(ok, well Gyms grow there). You'd be looking for stuff in horse/cow pastures and stuff growing in grass compost/decomping hay. Do a little bit of research for your area, check out www.erowid.org.
To get a mushroom to briuse, slightly pinch the stem of the mushroom, then wait about an hour and see if the spot where you pinched it changed colors.

i found the two smalller one in the grasss in my yard!!!
