[I´M HOPING THIS IS "Psilocybe cyanescens" BUT CAP LOOKS TO LIGHT IN COLOR]
Habitat: In a field with generous doses of manure, running paralel to a line of trees that I was not able to identify. Not much tree mulch or deadwood around. Gills: Grayish white/very light brown Stem: Pale brown, fairly sturdy, 0.5-1.0 inches wide. Cap: Brown, darker in the middle and fading towards the edgestowards the edges. 3-6 inches. Turned up and wavy. Spore print color: Had to leave the mushrooms behind as the farmer turned a rottweiler on me. Bruising: No color change observed Location: Picked in southern Iceland

Could you be a bit more specific, please. What tipped you of that this wasn´t a wavy cap? The location, the look of the thing or something else?

i have never found ps. cyanecesns but i understand that you must do a lot of reading to find then, also their prefer mulch areas , or woodchips beds, in naure they exist to in places where debris collect, or where food is around , woood , is not only to see a mushrroms that look like it , you should see many caracteristics, cap color, gill color, space, atachh, ,bruise not, color changen when humid and dry, so the gill in your mushrroms are white not good do some reading about specific color , take a spore print, , the color of the cap, not good, see some pictures of ps cyanences, the stem did not bruise, your mushrroms look like a pluteus .. i know i may be let you the same felling but maybe more inspired to know more about ps cyanences

Cyans would grow from woodchips, not from a field, the stem would be a more obvious cottony white, the cap a richer caramel and there would be noticeable blue/green streaks on the stem and along the edges of the cap.
If you want to find cyans, search landscaped woodchip beds and forests with woody debris as mulch (although not from dead wood directly)

Thanks a lot to everyone for their help and suggestions. I´m not even sure as of now whether the mushroom exists in Iceland but I´ll continue to keep an eye out. Again, thanks a lot.
