Check your local thrift stores, Sally Annes, etc for a pressure cooker. I found two for $2 each! If you do find some, check the rubber ring around the inside of the lid, buy the one with the ring in the best condition. This ring 'seals' the lid and is usually the first thing to wear out.------------------ Visit the Captains Spore Lab at: http://www.geocities.com/Yosemite/Meadows/4448/spores.htm

Draven, I would like to send you (3) 1/2 Jars of Substrate. All are steralized and ready for inoculation. If you can get yourself a spore syringe then email me. This is a gift from me to you...no charge for shipping. shane

if you cant get your hands on a syringe...you can go to a grocery store or a housewares store like lecheters...what you can get is a large syringe that is used for injecting marinade and whatnot into chicken. its like a 30CC syringe, and it has 1.5 inch needle. it might cost you about four bucks. but its the easiest way to get a syringe without having to mail order it or if you dont know anyone that can get you one.

Some Old Guy,Sorry, I don't have any to give away. ar393, I didn't actually mean JUST a syringe. I meant to say a Sterile Spore Syringe of his favorite shroom.

draven, have you looked at any of the teks using those disposable gladware containers. i haven't personally tried them, but heard they work and that way you could use a microwave. you can do a search, but i'm almost certain they use the same ingredients as jars ...and they should be cheap.good luck lestat

shane,in his post he says he has a spore print...and if he can get his hands on a syringe..he can make a spore syringe.....and if he does it right...more than likely a sterile syringe with viable spores.

shane... he said he had a spore print...and thus to make a spore syringe he lacks a syringe....

Gentleman!I have never made a spore syringe from a spore print. I really didn't know it was possible without contamination. Would someone be kind enough to point me to that Tek. Thank you ar393.
