Atlantis sclerotia question

Does cloning sclerotia make a big difference to sclerotia yield?
The reason I ask is I've just found out it takes 3 months for sclerotia to be ready for harvest. I've got 8 pint jars of chicken feed which are coming on nicely after inoculation 5 days ago with Atlantis LC. But with such a long turn around I'm thinking it would be a good idea to knock up some more asap. On the other hand if cloning is going to massively increase yield, perhaps it's worth waiting
Thanks

Do as much as you can comfortably supply time, effort, space, etc. If it was cloned from a wild mushroom, I would start small, as it may take a few generations or more to domesticate.

The LC was made from a print of a cultivated mushroom. So that counts as domesticated, I guess.
Thing is, if I wait 3 months to get sclerotia and clone it and wait another 3 months to see how it turns out that's 6 months to find out it it's worth cloning. That's a long time!
I suppose it might turn out that sclerotia doesn't like chicken feed. But the myc's ripping through it.

It's probably a good idea to have another grow going on. But to have a totally hassle-free grow, just a jar of grain in a dark place... that's worth three months, I think.

If sclerotia are anything like cubes in terms of variations of growth size/rate across different spores of the same domesticated parent, it probably would be best to just go all out now. Cloning will yield more, no doubt-but again if they are anything like cubes, cloning wont amount to MASSIVE increase in yields-just a decent sizable difference. My opinion: plan to clone, but enjoy the efforts of your experiments if it's not overwhelming in terms of time, space, effort, etc.
Then again I'm the type of person that can't resist [earlier] gratification.

The best way I've found to get great sclerotia harvests is to inoculate petri dishes, and within two to three weeks, sclerotia will begin forming in the plates. Transfer these chunks of sclerotia to jars of grains, followed by g2g transfers to increase your mycelium volume ten to one. RR

if you have more Lc , go and do some more jars. Keep some drops and do some dishes , start enjoying . Once sclerotia is beginning to form you can open a jar a do some slerotia transfers too.

I really should just make some sclerotia jars and just stick them somewhere and forget about them for a month or two
