I'm not sold on Sea of Shrooms, but I also haven't tried it.

My advice would be case 1-3 cakes per tray. My best tray has been just a single cake in an old whipped-cream tupperware. That way you have a casing big enough to support larger mushrooms but not so big that if it gets contaminated you lose a bunch of colonized substrate, time and effort.

Your casings serface layer directly relates to yields (assuming your technique is polished) in my observations bigger the surface area the better the flush (pin set)
and the bigger the amount of nutrients (cakes) the bigger the mushrooms.

So basically in a perfect world all our casings would be 10'x10' and a foot deep :smile:
