I dont understand using Gypsum in LCs, its for sediment I guess... but its not
required... in brewing it makes smaller particals group up and fall to the bottom,
I guess that would be cool in an LC but not needed at all. you really want it
go to a home brewing site and order it, along with a few LBs of malt extract
and dextrose. (corn sugar)

Gypsum changes the water chemistry in brewing. You are thinking of Irish moss or something.

Gypsum is also used to changes substrate and casing pH when growing mushrooms. I don't see how it would be too useful in an LC unless you were testing the pH and finding it off.
