Its now the 5th day after i shot up 12 jars. I used 6 strains and everything is showing signs of myc growth except both of my pink buffalo jars..... im not worried that they wont start, i take them out of the incubator a few times a day for fae...... im just wondering if any one that has grown PB has noticed if its a slow colonizer, or took longer to start??.... any observations maybe??

It usually takes that long to germinate and then 3-4 days more to show growth some strains are kinda slow germinators. as long as there isnt any contams you should be good.

They do not need to be taken out for FAE while they are colonizing. FAE is a pinning trigger.
Leave them alone and out of light. I know its hard but trust me.

cause i understand that fae is a trigger for pinning, so ive got my incubator all set up with them in it and my goal is to leave them until tuesday without even looking and turning on the heat when needed.

you don't need an incubator either. Room temp is fine.

i just have a makeshift incubator, nights have been around 40 here and i just have a heating blanket covered in blankets on top of the box my jars are in, sitting in a rubbermaid, so when i go to bed i plug it in and the temp stays exactly at 84, when i wake up i leave it on for a few hours and turn it off around noon.....temps never drop below 80
