Well in the "Alcohol: do you use it" thread in the psychedlic experience I was getting in an argument with some noob and he swears up and down it is toxic and he actually said in one of his posts... its a toxin that is non toxic to the body, am I the only one that realizes how stupid that sounds? Saying that is a complete paradox

Honestly what drugs ARE toxic? The only ones I can think of are meth and alcohol.

"The toxicity of psilocybin is relatively low; when administered intravenously in rabbits, Psilocybin's LD50 is approximately 12.5mg/kg. In rats, the oral LD50 is 280mg/kg — almost one and a half times that of caffeine.[7] Death from psilocybin intake alone is unknown at recreational or medicinal levels."

OR the shroomery even has info

I imagine, in the case of this or any foreign chemical, there is a minimal amount of wear on the liver. As far as physical toxicity, it is minimal enough to not every worry about.

Probably like the amount of "wear" you put on your muscles by lifting a heavy object.

Exatcly. Everything has a limited duration, nothing physical is eternal. so pretty much. Don't think twice about it being toxic.

Furthermore, "toxic" doesn't necessarily mean brain damage. Mushrooms can make you puke which means there's something "toxic" in them, but not toxic like inhaling windex.

I'm not sure as to why shrooms can make you puke though, T. McKenna has a quote I beleive in Food of the Gods that explains that shrooms are supposedly the only natural psychedelic which contains nothing to which will make a person purge.

of course not.

The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing. One cannot help but be in awe when he contemplates the mysteries of eternity, of life, of the marvelous structure of reality. It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of this mystery every day. Never lose a holy curiosity. ~ Albert Einstein

I have never puked. I think maybe it is a reaction to the bodies interpretation of what has entered. But I guess I am not inclined to preach on that subject being as I have never experienced.

I puked on shrooms once but it was at the peak and I'm 100% positive it was anxiety induced since I was having a really bad trip (didnt have an upset stomach or nausea). Other than that anytime I have shroomed my stomach is always fine, even after initial ingestion.
