Ameteur grower needs some tips from the pros...

Hello again, Im on my third batch of jars now, have experiemented with casings (no huge sucesses yet, but Im still trying to perfect my cake growing tecnique). My question is, how do I get flushes like this:
http://www.thelittleguy.com/
LOOK at those cakes!! Most of my cakes produce one or two large mushrooms, and maybe a few abhorts, per flush. (growing EQs) Does the hydrapod consistently produce those kind of flushes?? Are these results possible with a rubbermaid tub and perlite humidification? Is it just a matter of maintaining precise humidity and temperature? When you first started out, what were you doing that 'finally' made the difference between an average, ho hum crop and the massive flushes I see in pics like this??
Thanks, Zesty

Honestly, there is no secret, except experience. It takes a lot of hands on learning to get maximum flushes. I had been growing for a year before I got the kinds of results that I see around here. It just takes patience, time, and a lot of experience/experimentation. Keep some sort of record (even a mental one) or the specifics of what you're doing, it will help you in the long run. I label EVERYTHING with details, and now I know what works best for me. You'll find your niche' eventually!
P.S. Try Hip's bleach dunk tek-(cakes) it will please you!

because some people work, attend school, and own what they call a life outside of mushroom cultivation...convenience is a must for these people. do you understand?

"this guy loves those damn expensive ass pods."

I actually thought about getting a hydra-pod, but I really wanted to learn how to grow them myself, and to really get the whole process down to a T. I mean, yeah, its a lot more work and time, but its also a heck of a lot more fun to actually 'get your hands dirty' if you know what I mean. I was using a vicks cool mist, worked OK , but I am switching back to perlite. I figure, at least with perlite, the humidity is always a constant, and that puts the brunt of the work on my end nailing down a perfect schedule for gas exchange. Keeping the cool mist though, because eventually I want to get one of those mini-greenhouse things and im sure it would work fantastic in there. Oh, and Ive been using the Hippie bleach dunk tek for a while now, ever since I read about it on the shroomery. And yeah, it totally rules!! Now Ive got to get the cakes from the one, big fat shroom Im getting off them after the dunk to a whole slew of big fat guys, and Ill be happy. Then Ill buy (or make) a hydra-pod:)
Thanks Zesty

waht is he using beneath the cakes...
Im also new and have my casing and cakes in a simple perlite bedding buuut that definitely aint no perlite!
I read how many ppl say they mist right after fanning....but with perlite as ur humidification (which seems to maintain a high RH) does any1 think it's all that necessary? I mean maybe we should mist a few hours after fanning? I think every1 would luv flushes like those all the time
