Mushbox Questions

Hi all, I'm very new to mushroom growing -- never done it before and just started reading about it a couple weeks ago.
My wife has a birthday coming up, she likes working with her plants, and she likes mushrooms, so I'm considering purchasing this Complete Myco-101 system from mushbox.com for her:
http://mushbox.com/complete101.html
Being such a novice though, I have a bunch of questions:
1. I'm wondering if anyone here has any experience with this product, and if so, what you think of it.
2. The marketing literature states that it is "everything you need", but when I asked the vendor they also recommended the "MYG kit" (http://mushbox.com/myg.html), which I see contains some things that the Complete 101 does not contain (e.g. straw and rye grain). Is there anything else required with the Complete 101, or is it really a plug-n-play system? (I don't want to give the wife a present that requires more stuff to be ordered before she can use it.)
3. There are also some other "optional" items listed on the sales pages for the Complete 101 -- "grow bags" and "casing kits" -- but I'm not clear if these two things are necessary, recommended, optional, or what. Same thing with the pressure cookers they offer for sale -- are these required for the first-time grower? (I get the impression that these three items are necessary for re-using the system later, not for the first time experience, but I'm not entirely sure.)
4. Does anyone have any idea how many spore syringes are appropriate to get for a 1st-time run with this product? I was planning on buying syringes from spores101, but I have no idea how many you need. The Complete 101 comes with 48 jars -- but are you supposed to get one syringe for every jar? One syringe for every 4 jars? I couldn't find anything about this on the site, and the vendor says they can't tell me for legal reasons. (They sell legal (edible) mushroom spores on spores101 though, so I don't know why they can't tell you how many legal syringes you need...)
5. Finally, does anyone know the shipping time on this product. Is it typically backordered or "made-to-order"? The website says that you will be told if the item is backordered after you make the purchase, but I'd really like to know in advance how soon it might arrive. (If it's not going to arrive before the 25th I'll need to get a different birthday present...)
Thanks folks, look forward to any and all replies.

I forgot to add -- before you say "ask the vendor", I already did, but I think they got tired of answering my questions because they stopped responding after my second email :-)
Also, I know a lot of people on this site are the "do-it-yourself" types, but my wife and I run a small business that takes up almost all our free time. I'd really rather buy her a complete kit that I know has everything we need, nicely packaged with instructions. At this point in our lives, we have more money than time...
Thanks again.

I am not sure what you man about not answering any more of your questions. We always respond in some way to customers.
It's funny you are posting about this particular kit because we are in the middle of revamping it. We have developed a completely new Glove Box that is interchangeable with the self auto system as seen here:

If you can't see the glove box is turned upside down and on top of the self auto. This allows for a pretty killer air exchange system for other kits like the MYG or hanging bags inside with the suction cup provided. Its huge in there as well. You could easily fit a MYG in there.
I would be willing to customize a kit for you with "everything you will need" in it including the MYG kit and this system above. Maybe you could help me test it out?
Let me know

Hi, I didn't mean any offense. I was just talking to a guy from Mushbox last night over email and he didn't respond to my follow-up questions about shipping times and what else is needed with the Complete 101. My emails could've gotten caught by a spam filter though... these things happen and I'm not blaming anyone. My comment was just kinda tongue-in-cheek.

I'd love to. As I made clear in my post, I'm new to all this and my wife and I don't have time to be spending days doing research and driving around hunting for supplies.
The Mushbox kit looks perfect, but for a complete novice it still leaves you with a lot of questions -- things like: Is the pressure cooker necessary? Is the MYG kit necessary? Do I need to get "grow bags"?
There are probably a lot more people like me out there too: People who know nothing about what they're doing, don't really have a lot of free time to figure it out, but who have money to spend and would prefer to grow our edibles in the privacy of our own homes. But those product pages can be confusing with all the add-ons unless you're already familiar with the growing process.
So yeah, work out the perfect kit that contains exactly what is required for a stellar 1st-time experience and I'll be happy to give you feedback as we go. (You have my email address -- it starts with the same first letters as my username here.)
Thanks!
