im kinda new to the whole hydrapod idea and was wondering if i could make one out of a deeprock bottle, maybe cut it near the bottom and put those hydroponic rocks in it with the pump and all and put the other part on top to keep humidity up. think it would work? i already have the rocks and the pump/hoses and the deeprock bottle i was thinking if its a better way of growing then what the hell. is it a better way of growing? do you put the cakes on the rocks?

anyone got a link or some advice?

i have a pod, and it does grow cubes very well. it sound like your idea for a psuedo pod would work as well as the original...give it a whirl, and let me know how it goes.

I own a hydra pod, it is my first time using it. I usually use a cooler. The thing about the hydra pod is the dome top. I haven't found any plastic places that could make one for me so if you want to make a psuedo pod you will still have to deal with condensation. Those rocks are call hydrakorels. You can get them at any hydraponics retailer, you can also use them for growing ganga. By the way this is the first time I am trying to grow with cakes vs casing and it has been 2 weeks and no pinning, the cakes a beautifully white and fuzzy but no pinning. Anybody got any ideas?

Do a search for "solar bells". Once you have the key words for a search engine, you will find plenty of domes.
