Does anyone know how I can merge all the songs together on this cd so that there is no silence between tracks? I want it to be one long single track that runs together.

Can anyone do this or recommend software I can use to do it myself?

It's pretty easy if you use Nero to burn your Music CD's.

When you are about to burn (All versions have this feature, but depending on your version it may be somewhere a little different) Click the "More" tab or "More Options" Select the choice "Disc-at-Once"

Now it will record the CD with no blank space in between tracks. The laser stays on from the begining of the burn until the end.

Hope this helps.

OH yeah, I also forgot to tell you I loved that mix. I am at work right now and downloaded it yesterday and listened to it thru the day. I really enjoyed it and burnt it to a disc for the next time I trip!

Good deal.

you can use Virtual DJ or some kind of mp3 splitting/joining program.

try this site, maybe one of those might work for you.

or one of these.

Thanks man, I'm glad you liked it.

Well, what Im looking for is more of a software that I can use to merge all the songs together to create on track. Kind of like you were mixing records or something. You know layer the songs together at the end of each song so that you can hear the next song coming in as one song ends.

I want to make a new version of this mix, I've found a few more songs that would fit in really well, but I want them to fade in from the background.

Who is the artist for "Crayon?" It sounds like old Caribou, or Manitoba?

Ok I just answered my own question. I have the Caribou Marino DVD and this song is on there. I just didn't know it was a Manitoba song. Nice. This is an awesome mix. I actually had every song on this mix except for the mum tracks. I already appreciate the trippy theme I will enjoy next weekend while in another land! Thanks!

Yep Caribou previously Manitoba is the artist of Crayon.

I can't wait to hear this tripping myself. These are all artist I usually listen to while tripping.

I'm working on a revised version of this. I should have it up later on tonight. I'm adding a few more songs and moving a few around to make a better over all feel and mix.

For my critique

Not too fond of the Pink Floyd song.  I love Pink Floyd, and this is one of my least favorite songs by them, definitely least favorite off the Wish You Were Here album.  I know a lot of people like the song, but in gnereal it seems very immature/shallow for a PF song, although I do agree with the message it contains.

Animal Collective seemed very underdeveloped to me, and not in a 'punk' way.  Maybe with more listens it will grow on me.  It is definitely better than 95% of the corporate BS they pump out nowadays.  In general, it seemed more psychomimetic than psychedelic to me, however.

Now, Panda Bear's solo effort I enjoyed more.  Interesting soundscapes there, and I'm not sure if I like it quite as much as Manitoba/Caribou's works (same person is both of these last two, I think).  Kind of a tie between them, but I definitely plan on checking these out more.

Mum, or rather, the remixes of Mum's stuff were interesting.  I'm interested in hearing the original work.  I didn't care to much for Ilo's remix, but Ruxpin's remix was interesting.

Boards of Canada seemed an order above the rest, though, of course I already enjoy them a bunch, so maybe I'm biased.

Nothing wrong with criticizing here. In fact I welcome it. I agree with you on some of what you are saying. You need to understand though, that most of these songs were selected not because they were my favorite works of any of the bands, but because they fit in with the rest and created a certain environment.

This is basically a rough draft. I have selected other songs and I'm currently working to get a better flow out of it.

Any criticism is welcome and suggestions are also welcome. Love to hear them.

Here is the revised version of the cd. I'm actually currently working to mix these songs together to make one long continuious song.

In this new version I've added and moved songs around. It is far too long to burn to a cd, so you might have to mix and match if you want to burn it. Or you and add to an MP3 player like an ipod or something to listen to the full cd.

I will try and have the mixed version up before the weekend is over.

Ok here are the songs mixed together. It is split into two tracks and is still just barely too big for a cd.

http://www.divshare.com/download/1887864-c09

I'm going to mix it again in a few days and try to make it fit a cd.

Note: If you are going to burn this and are trying to decide what to leave out, I suggest leaving out D.sound-untilted, and then its a toss up between the last two songs. I will leave it up to you, Either the mum song or the final panda bear song can go. I left the panda bear and did away with mum in my version that I burned... i just feel the panda bear ends it better. Also leave off oboroed... it can be a cd in its self. Its 30 minutes long.

Anybody get a chance to trip to this cd this weekend?

I did and my friends and I fucking loved it!! I made it though, so I am biased.

I would really like to hear what others thought.
