That looks like a cool ass setup. My only concern would be that how exactly will humidity hold up in there? Do you have that clear plastic all around the setup, that might help. And maybe throw a few hydrometers in there, one on top and one on bottom. That way you'll be sure that the climate is the same throughout.

Thats a cool ass setup dude.....a friend has a similar setup but yours blows it away. Next time he tries to build a fruiting chamber like that, he is going to make it more like yours. He uses PVC tubing attached to a cool mist humidifier and put it on a timable x.10 module. The problem with his design is that he put a hole at each shelf to pump the humid air in but it only comes out the bottom hole and partially the 2nd...not the 3rd at all so he covered up the first two and just has it filter down throughout the chamber from the top level. You also have more shelves than he does. Where did you get the vinyl covering? My friend has the martha steward one but yours looks a lot bigger. Thats not the 60" version of martha?s closet is it?

The RD will be alot higher at the top. You will start your casings out at the top and when they pin, move them down a few shelves...

I must say, When I saw this I was impressed. I immediately wanted to get one. I found one online that is the exact same as you are using. It is at containerstore.com
There are other kinds also.

Continuing on my vinyl closet search, I found some bigger ones. At JC Pennys.
These are cool, even have rollers on the bottom, just in case you have to roll it out the window, hehehehe

I don't know if this is a valid concern or not, and feel free to correct me if i'm wrong, but will the cool mist be able to put enough pressure to overcome the weight of that column of air?
If the thing's not very powerful, a large tube of that height could burn it out.

Not sure if this helps, but I saw a Menards ad for this rubermaid product $24.95. I am not sure if Menards is Mid-US only but just another option for ya.

anyone interested i got the same closet at wal-mart for $19.95 there is one double in size for $26.00 also rubber maid. yes there is a diff in humidity from top to bottom wht i do is fruit on the bottom shelves grow on the top once fruits are two days into growth cycle. i use an ultrasonic humidifier simply because thats a big assed space and it puts out alot more than a cool mist. i have had no problems and right now i have 56 jars fruiting away mostly equador alittle pr some treasure coast and a bit of pesa. all of which pinned like two days after birthing into the chamber. i also put a styrofoam cooler full of perlite in the bottom on top of a large towel folded over to block the leg holes in the bottom. perltie and towel changed once/week. this setup will yield 1 qp/week until ckes are depleted. if anyone is interested i can post pics if not i wont waste bandwidth. l8r

Post those pics please. I am going to start my journey into the mass production arena. I'm trying to learn as much as possible beforehand so I don't spend six months trying to figure out whats going to work and whats not. It's a cruel world but I'm trying to learn from other peoples mistakes. I think I've made about every mistake known to shrooming though.

ok first off let me explain this setup is realy large and mine is in a tight spot so the pics are up close.
pic 1 is of the ultrasonic humidifier $20 on ebay feeding into a gallon bottle diffuser. nipples $.59 each at home depot hose $.49 per foot. two hoses lead into the top of the chamber. i took a peice of plexi glass, laid it on top of the frame then put on the fabric then glued with all weather goop $1.89 walmart then cut away fabric inside glue line. i then drilled two inputs for the feed lines.

pic 2 once inside the stream of humdity is pretty firm and straight foreward so i took two small bowls and placed them directly in the line of fire to both diffuse and disperse. this helps to keep the humidity flowing throughout. i am working on a waterprrof fan to go in which would help as well. any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
pic 3 is of the shelves which can be purchased at walmart for $8.95 ther have large grids so shrooms can grow every which way. they hang from the center rod are very sturdy and have five shelves. two of these fit in the chamber as though they were made for each other.

the rest are just the results of

itis the kind with the breathable walls but with an ultrasonic humidifier this should not present a problem. i would only reccomend an ultrasonic for this task simply because of the size of thechamber. you will need high output this thing is massive. also i put a large beach towel folded over on the bottom so no humidity would escape through the leg holes and on top of that i have a styro cooler full of perlite just in case. i also let it run on low 24 hours a day. humidity is constant and throughout.

You setup is extremely cool. I would appreciate if you could maybe post where you got all the material to build you beauty from. I think I will have to copy your design. Thanks for showing us this setup.

uhh... why not get a sonic fogger type machine that simulates rainforest fog that can be put on a time in a 5gal bucket just gotta fill it up every couple of days... woudlnt the humidity build up make it so that there was going to be a mold problem eventually??
great looking closet! hehehe
