use hamster crap for alt manure
    #7366927 - 09/04/07 10:44 AM (13 years, 8 months ago)

hmm, it may work, they ARE herbavores or how ever you spell it
not carnivores so their waste may be beneficial in some way.
they eat crap like, seeds, pellets, and other crap
maybe i will grab some shit from my little cousins hamster
anyone have any opinions or experience?
any info would be good, multiple searches did not yield the answer i was looking for

you want animals that eat a lot of grass / straw / hay.
hamsters do not.

Quote from the interweb...
"Hamsters love fresh carrot and apple, boiled egg and even wet dog food - because they do eat meat!"

Got to agree with Hippie3, no good poo.

I bet the Hamster is relieved...

Make sure the hamster is in aspen or other non-pine wood shavings, then just scoop up all the stuff in the cage. Rinse it to wash out urine, then pasteurize (or sterilize).

Should work great, and your mushrooms will come out fluffy and cute.
