black lights

i know its been asked before, i did a search and it showed nothing, but has ne1 used a black light for their light sorce? what were their findings? what if it were used with another light like a small florecent?

I haven't actually tried it myself, but I remember somebody saying blacklights had no noticeable affects on mushroom growth. Since they don't do anything, there's not much point in using one.
