I store my Polyfill in the basement, because one does not need Polyfill anymore... just put a folded ALU-foil over the lids of the jars... cook... remove ALU... and do the job... put the ALU back on. Quite simple and it works perfect. Use your pillow to sleep.. smile me.

Good grow

LOL, no do not use an old pillow. I can hardly think of a more contaminated substance in the entire home then an old yellowed pillow.

I'll give you one thing, you're consistent. You consistently give some of the most horrible advice I've ever read. Grain jars require filtered gas exchange. A jar with inoculation/gas exchange holes in the lid requires a filter above(or below), not foil. The foil is there to prevent water that condenses on the lid of the pressure cooker from raining back down on the lids and getting into the jars. It's removed when jars are removed from the PC.

@ RogerRabbit

I beg your pardon Sir, but I do everything exactly the way as I did describe it. Do you really believe, that I do not know, what I write about? How do you know? I fly-in all the way from Switzerland, in order to spread the good news here at Shroomery - and you write: Don't believe him.... how about that? Is a shroom-cultivation forum not the right place to exchange knowledge? Or are you the only one around here, who knows how to grow shrooms? Is it because you want to sell your old videos?

We use to say: The better is the enemy of the good... times they are a changing and new grow teks come up. So what? Is it a crime to let people know, that growing shrooms is as easy as making a cup of tea.

Good shroomin' and lets get international connected.... NOT infected.

Roger is a very well respected and renowned member of the shroomery, and his advice is held in the highest regard. He has written countless posts and teks, in addition to taking time to answer individual threads like this.

Yes, it is an exchange of knowledge, but it's got to be correct knowledge!

It's not to say you don't know what you're doing. Perhaps Roger's method is a little less risky contam-wise.

:peace:

...much love...
