rundown of an experiment

4 days ago i started 16 brf and verm jars ,8 with tap water ,and for the other eight i took a gallon of distilled water and mixed in 2 teaspoons of fruitbat guano ,then used this for the jars. so far all are collinizeing equally well.any questions ,comments,or thoughts are welcome. more reports to follow.

I wouldn't use guano for anything except for throwing it at people I don't like. Its fumes are dangerous and can be fatal, Im not sure about using it to grow shrooms but I'd be willing to bet that ingesting something that grew on it wouldn't be that good for you. Just my 2 cents though.

We use it in our garden-plants love it!

What harm would bat droppings do vs horse poo?? Actually, if it was me I would research the constiuents of the dropppings. Hopefully there aren't bad bacteria in the droppings. Sterilization or pasturization might be needed. Good luck with your experiments. Keep us updated Oh, did you boil or pressure cook your jars?

Frog31337: All jars were placed in a pressure cooker for one hour @ 15 p.s.i. .So far there appears to be no noticable difference between the 8 jars with the bat droppings and the 8 control jars.All jars were innoculated at one hole only so as to more readily see the difference in the spread of the mycellum. But the experimental jars did show signs of mycellum about 12 hours earlier than the control jars. This could just be a coincidence though.
