Varying Potentcy of Shrooms?

This guy I know is growing a florida + and a creeper strain. When he dries them with no heat, will they be much more potent than the ones he got from a dealer? Are any strains really THAT much more potent than others? If so, how many grams of, let's say, Creeper (dried) would you think a 200 lb. man would need to reach a level 3 trip? According to the shroomery dosage chart, you'd need 2.5 grams of P. Cubensis. Thanks for any help.

All shrooms vary in potency. Even inside the same strain.
