4 dozen quarts a pop

Just FYI.

A great incubator for quart spawn jars (or pints) is a plain old cheap legal size 4 metal drawer metal filing cabinet. Each drawer holds a dozen quarts, or twice that many pints -- stacked.

You can find these CHEAP, all over at used office supply stores, thrift stores & garage sales & where ever.

Just throw a heating pad under the bottom drawer & adjust the temp to suit your enviroment. If you want to insulate it a little, throw a clean blanket over it, cut the botton out of a garbage can size trash bag & tape two togather two make it tall -- long enough. Slide that over the whole thing like a sack dress.

A two drawer would also work great.

Works like a charm.............................

LOL, the picture of that filter lid posted is now topped. The Raccoon found a nickel size 0.02 micron ceramic filter that snaps into a predrilled hole in a lid & a medical grade injectionable septum plug that does the same. Just waiting for the ceramic filters to arrive from Japan. Once there here, the Raccoon will post another pic of the second generation filter lid. SixTango
