Saw MGMT and Yeasayer last night. MGMT was kind of lackluster for me...I mean the music is really upbeat and they are really tight but it just didn't grab me at all. It just felt like it was trying really hard to be what it was. I dunno. The performance of Time to Pretend was excellent though...that song's the jam on that record, for sure.

Yeasayer rocked! Creepy Pink Floyd-esque vibe the entire time. The singer almost borders on jackass but manages to not be as annoying as you think his gesticulations could be...he looks kind of goat-like, makes me think he might have hooves. Very awesome, drum-heavy psychedelic rock..

Just got back from Vampire Weekend. Their opener, Sam Buck Rosen, were really good. So was Vampire Weekend. Definitely enjoyed the show.

Parliament Funkadelic next Friday. Roy Hargrove with the Columbus Jazz Orchestra that Saturday, Lupe Fiasco March 2nd and Terrance Blanchard sometime in April. Oh, and Langerado first weekend of March :rockon:

It was fucking fun, I danced all night! Then they had this badass reggae band called Grimey Styles.

I went to STS9 a few weeks ago, was an extremely good concert with a mostly good crowd too. I have to give it to a band that has no vocals but never gets boring.

It was allright. Total delta blues show, it was only 7 bucks and we were high as fuck so it was pretty cool.

But the people who go to blues shows just sit there and dont move at all.

The opening band was a mix of metal, blues and southern rock, they were aight.

Fun night tonight, i havent smoked this much dank in a long time.

The last show I went to was Perpetual Groove ... it was okay.  STS9 new years completed dominated them.  Attending Langerado and Ultra in March... should be exhilarating and stress-reducing.
