there is a great deal of info both here at the shroomery in the grow/find section and at many other sites on the net. you might try:
erowid's mushroom vault
and

when it comes to texas the first species that comes to mind is P. cubensis. judging by you're question i'de say you need to do a lot more research before trying to hunt by yourself. this is not a criticism, but, saftey first you know.
