Sterilizing Verm

Okae i've read those all the faq's and couldnt find anything on sterilization of verm. I will be doing a straight verm casing and read that i must sterilize it first. Now how would i go about this? Oven? Microwave? Any info would help greatly. Thanks

Vermiculite wont have to be sterilized as a casing layer.

Well, everyone says that you don't need to sterilize/pasteurize vermiculite prior to use, since it's non-nutritious. My cas wets his down and sticks his in the microwave for about 10 minutes to kill off any of the dust or random crap that might have fallen into the bag. It might not be necessary, but I haven't had any problems doing it yet.

Just add 10% H2O2 to the water you add to your verm.

you can also get the verm damp and put it in the oven for 20 mins at 300degrees. that should do all the sterilizing needed.
