Trich Time Line and Questions

I found confirmed trich on an older cake, it was white with green in the middle and the cake was soft in that spot. The cake had 3 flushes already .. so it had a good life. Couple of questions I have,
1. I see some very white mycelium growing over 2 other cakes. I'm scared this is also early trich. How long does trich take to turn from white to green ? These cakes have had this very white mycelium covering half of them for a week or more.
2. This white mycelium bruises blue. That would indicate it is not trich ?
thanks.

oh and here is a tip for any other house cleaning challenged out there. When trying to clear up trich in a room with bleach, don't spray it on the carpet. The carpet changes color and girlfriends get very crank .....

I like it when she gets my crank, so I'll use extra bleach.
Trich mycelium won't bruise blue, and it takes about four to five days for trich to go from spores to green again. It can take longer than that if the trich is buried or surrounded by mushroom mycelium, but trich, being an imperfect fungi, is much faster to sporulation than mushroom mycelium. RR

hehe yeah well I think she was about ready to bleach my crank over that one !
Ended up tossing all the cakes, trich was on several of then, so time for a big clean out. They where old cakes anyway .. and strangly soft.
thanks.

In the future, spread out some composted cow manure from the nursery in a shady spot of your yard, and then bury all your spent and/or contaminated projects there. They often fruit again outdoors when the conditions are right. RR
