First grow...progress

Hello Shroomery...Just wanted to put up a couple pics of my progress so far on my first grow. I am following the PF Tek w/ brf/verm using RR's method with B+ cubes (except I PC'ed my jars). I inoculated my first five jars last Wed on 8/13. These pics were as of yesterday morning (day 6). These are the best three jars. The other two are going a little slow, but that's because I made a rookie mistake. The top layer of verm is too thick on the last two. Instead of filling up the fourth one all the way and just discarding the fifth, I just went ahead and did both with less substrate in each one. But, they do have some mycelium starting to grow.
Once they are ready to birth, I will dunk and roll and then put them into my RR style shotgun FC. I also made another five jars this past Saturday (8/18) and they are already showing signs of myc growth. Also, in the first five jars, there is a small amount of moisture between the glass and the myc. From what i've read that is normal. I have medical/breathable tape over the holes and the jars are incubating in a show box in my closet (Temp=78-80F). There are holes in the shoeboxes to allow for gas exchange.
Also, on Saturday I made an LC following Agar's tek w/ the baby bottles and Karo. The first one I did already has some small little white fuzzy balls floating around in it!!! The second one I made on Monday, and I haven't checked on it yet. I will post more pics of my first grow as it progresses. I was super careful on the sterilization process (glovebox, oust, gloves, alc, flame ster, etc...) Maybe overboard, but better safe than sorry. So, hopefully I won't encounter any contams.
Thanks to all you veterans and experienced growers for your good advice and information. I didn't have to ask any questions before I got started. I spent hours upon hours reading the forum and doing searches until I got my answers.

Thanks....This is a great feeling! At first I was like, is this even gonna work? Am I gonna screw this up? But, then that beautiful little white "fuzz" started to grow. As long as I can stay contam free, it's gonna be all good. I'm gonna do the first five as cakes for sure, and then maybe take two out of the last five to case my brf/verm substrate. This has become addicting. I'm constantly reading and searching to learn how to get better. Honestly, I've been spending like 4-5 hours a day on the computer...mainly at work. I'm a runner at a law firm, and when it's slow there's nothing for me to do, so the Shroomery it is. I should be studying for law school, but that's no fun!

Hell ya it is!!!! There's something about the satisfaction yet get from knowing that you grew those, or are growing these mushrooms. I used to just go pick them from some land that my family owns. But, last summer and this summer has been very disappointing b/c of the drought and extreme heat. We've had temps of 100-102 for the last three weeks!!! I used to have a gold mine, now it's nothing. So, that's why I decided to go ahead and grow my own.
ps - why are you so sour?

That would be interesting, wouldn't it? I am seriously thinking about doing defense work....Once i pass the BAR i'll worry about what kind of law i'm gonna practice. i'll graduate in just a little over a year, so i'll put my info out there in case anybody needs it!

It's from a spore syringe. They were B+ that I got from sporeworks. They were filled with spores. They were great! I made two bottles of LC this week. Just waiting for them to take off. The first one already has some little white fuzzy balls floating around. Hope they work out.
