The Holy Mountain
The making of this film was a powerful ritual. It has the greatest ending ever...

Man, that is one weird and fucked up movie!
-------------------- “Strengthened by contemplation and study, I will not fear my passions like a coward. My body I will give to pleasures, to diversions that I’ve dreamed of, to the most daring erotic desires, to the lustful impulses of my blood, without any fear at all, for whenever I will— and I will have the will, strengthened as I’ll be with contemplation and study— at the crucial moments I’ll recover my spirit as was before: ascetic.”

That sounds slightly trippy.

I love the film adaptation of watership down. A man from earth is good to.
I'd like to add to this, Watership down is an established classic, I don't need to endorse it further, except that Art Garfunkel's song made me cry.
The man from earth however, is one of the few films I'm happy to watch again and again. It's new, in a decade of sequels and increasingly cautious and uncreative game and film and book publications the man from earth manages to be new, and not be something that's a copy of a copy. I would be happy to see a bigger budget sequel to this film, the story described could then be even more improved upon.
I cannot say anything about the film without giving away spoilers. I really, really recommend this film.

How about "The Man who fell to Earth" That's a fucking strange movie (fits this topic) staring David Bowie.

Zardoz is as powerfully philosophical as it is weird.
Meetings With Remarkable Men
The Sufi sacred dance scene is worth the price of the DVD.

Ah yes. If you like watership down, you have to watch (or read) The Plaque Dogs. Damned that's hell.
Cyrano de Bergerac (the one with Depadieu, but the old one is a classic too) Dead Man Romeo & Juliet (the one with Di Caprio) Much ado about Nothing (Kenneth Branagh Version)

Renegade! I noticed nobody has mentioned this one, it looks like a normal western movie when you go to rent it, but it is a pretty powerful movie! MUST SEE!

Of course! Good one.
