I'd say to take the lids off and then put the verm. on top of the foil. The verm. is there to stop contam. from entering the jars. You should be ok if you used a sterile technique.

You'll be fine- don't remove the lids now and try to rearrange things.

Damn, maybe I read instructions wrong also..

In empty jar I put Verm/flour, then 1/2" dry verm, then lid, then tape holes, then cover with allum foil, then pressure cook..

On the upside, I have had 0 contamination so far (knock on wood) 15/15 good jars to date..

OH well, works for me..

Gadget- the way you did it was perfect. You should have no problems.

The Ramsey Seal is something different than what you did. Check it out in the Grow/Find section.
