Fact or Myth? Can you touch the dog???

I have heard that when you are tripping, you shouldn't touch the dog or cat because your hands sweat out the poison and can have effects on the dog. Is this true, or not?

the cat/dog theory is not really a big issue because of the fur coat, if u were able to contact the skin you would probably need a pretty good amount of sweat and a high dose in your system to have any effect on the animal, now as for children, its a different story...STAY AWAY FROM BABIES!!!! the possibality of a reaction is very high in small children... especially babies.

What a load of shit. How could you even think of believing anything like this? Do you know how anything works?

that seems absurd to me. i dont know how the body would be able to secrete any kind of "poison" from tripping that would affect an animal or baby. prove me wrong... ive just never heard any such thing.

Man. Does anyone read before they go and register and post foolish things ? We should have a test that you have to pass before you can get a name.

I dont think touching the dog should be a problem, but my dogs seem to be able to sense a tripper, and they get real defensive and growl if even "I" goto pet them. I think im making progress with mine though, i got him to come and chill next to me last time, he was sure to keep a close eye on me though.....

Right on, to register you have to answer 20 questions about cultivation / general knowledge before you are aproved! Then we get into the conflict of biased questions, native language (ie not English) etc, but yeah, that would filter out a bunch of bad posts in cult/adv cult.

You'd still get morons and assholes, even with a test. The reason I come here is so I can learn more than I already know. That may have been a stupid question, but we get fed with lots of similar bullshit by people who say that drugs are the most evil tool of Satan. At least now he can go out into the world and say "Ha! You're full of shit pal...you can't make a dog trip by patting him when you're tripping".

I couldn't get my dog to leave me alone while I tripped. It was liked she sensed something was different and she felt she needed to be near me at all times.

Well I just have to say this, if I'm dripping poison of out my skin, the last thing on my mind is worrying about petting my dog. I'm just bustin on ya, don't take anything to harshly.

The only effect my dog had when I was tripping and petting him was he kinda got freaked out and walked away...must've been that poison...

i'd imagine it's good bonding with your pet. when you're tripping and you think the animal spends it's time following you every where, perhaps it's just that you notice it more or pay more attention to their actions?
(I'm not saying that they CAN'T tell, I'm just making a sugestion)
Our family dog follows me ABSOLUTELY FUCKIN EVERYWHERE mainly because I'm the only person in the family who actually talks to the dog ("how ya goin, buddy?", "whats the matter?", "do you wanna go outside?", "do you wanna come inside?" "do you wanna go for a walk?" etc etc) and gives the dog a lot of respect and care i basically treat the animals as I would a human... just because theyre not human doesnt mean they should be treated any less.
anyway, i'm going off track... but I've never tripped with an animal but I'd really like to see what it's like!
