Boiling ?

Hey, I am growin for the first time, and I am boiling the BRF/ Verm. Cakes. I let them boil slowly for an hour. I did have aluminum foil over them (2 layers) and it seems a small amount of water got in the top of 3 out of 6. Will the ones with the small amount of water still grow?? Or should it be tossed? Thanks everyone!

They should be fine. It all depends on how much water got in there. If only a tad bit then you shouldn't have any problems, as far as I know.

the worst one I could see was in the entire jar, so i got rid of that one, the other 2 have only about maybe 3/4 of an inch water on the top. Is that too much??

I'd give them the boot. Use less water next time. Until you can get a cheapo pressure cooker.

well, I already innoculated them...i have plenty of jars and spores, so we will see how they do.
