You can get a lamp at home depot for about 6 or seven bucks not including bulb...and just use a 60 watt reading bulb. this should do fine unless you are out to spend money. if you are i hear blue plant bulbs are the best probably from a big gardening store. just be sure not to warm up your setup with the bulb...hour or two a day should work

if it is light enough in the room to see the shrooms it is light enough for them to grow. happy tripp'n

A regular fluorescent shop light works fine. Even a 1-tube fluorescent with a 15 watt tube should do the job. Fluorescents are more expensive than incandescent lights but cheaper to run and the "bulbs" don't burn out nearly as often.
