Perhaps the marks on his leg were just marks on his leg. No one here denies his personal experience (I believe that he had red marks), merely the interpretation.

Do you not think that it was quite a hyper-jump from a spider bite and an unknown light in the sky 8 years ago to alien abduction? Seriously now.

Maybe he has a reason for believing that?
Seriously though, he's the only one that can interpret his experience, since he is the one that experienced it.

Maybe he left out an important, fully unexplainable element... how he felt at the time this happened.

Do you think that feelings equal truth?

We have been over this before. People frequently do and think irrational things because of what they are feeling. Emotionalism is indicative of very little. Most murder is committed in a state of extreme feelings.

So are you open-minded believers saying that it was NOT possible that he was influenced in his interpretation by pop culture?

Love is also commited in an extreme state of emotion.

I never said I was abducted. I said I believe I could be. It seems a little odd waking up in the middle of the night with some wack ass red glow all around you with energy coursing through your body then just wanting to go to sleep all of a sudden..two days after you see a UFO so close. Maybe it wasn't an alien craft, maybe our military has the technology to make anti-gravity crafts. Maybe those marks were in fact just a bunch of spider bites, he's got some accuracy though.....but who knows? None of us, though since I'm the one going through this shouldn't I have the upper hand in understanding it? I've told you all of my experiences so you can jumble them together to see the coincidence or believe. you choose

I had 3 upraised bite holes perfectly in line and spaced on my lower back.
The lymph nodes in my pelvis area swelled up for a week and my leg was really sensitive to touch for a few days. Strange.
Maybe it was spiders, maybe it was a heroin alien abduction.

I experienced something similar, except the sensitive part of my body was my upper left arm...

Shroomism: Seriously though, he's the only one that can interpret his experience, since he is the one that experienced it.
Does that make every psychiatrist, specialist in dreams(I don't know official title), spiritual aide, Freud, etc. invalid? Some people spend their entire career interpreting other people's experiences, dreams, sightings, hallucinations.... you get the point. Is everyone on the forum required to get a degree in ufo interpretation/sightings in order to express their interpretation?

in?ter?pret Pronunciation Key (n-t?rprt)
v. in?ter?pret?ed, in?ter?pret?ing, in?ter?prets
v. tr.
To explain the meaning of:
To conceive the significance of; construe:
To present or conceptualize the meaning of by means of art or criticism.
To translate orally.
[source: www.dictionary.com]

Not one of these definitions(of course we could argue the definitions) states that only the person who experienced an event, created a piece of art, saw a silvery disc in the sky is the sole interpretator of the event. Nor is philosophy confined to someone presenting their view on life, religion, ufo's, sex, etc. and no one being able to rebuttal.

Peace folks

Last night, was dozing off to sleep in my bed, at about 3am. I was starting to dream, I remember seeing a UFO rise above a rooftop in my dream - at that instant I woke up paralysed (happens frequently), only this time the room was filled blue rythmic flashing light, with an accompanying VMMM VMMM VMMM sound. And the room felt cold, and I began to feel a burning sensation in my testicles...and a voice was shouting "No! No! Resist! Resist!"...I think that was me...then I sat bolt upright in bed, and the room was quiet. Every word of this is true. Was it a hallucination? Most likely. Just felt like sharing it nonetheless, as it seemed to fit in this thread.

Couldn't of described it better myself... except along with the VMMM sounds there is vibrations emnating from my lower body.

Funny how these types of experience coincide with dreaming and sleep (possible sleep paralysis) and not in broad daylight walking down a city street. If they were authentic alien manifestations, why not happen anywhere, anytime?

There is a man offereing a million (or maybe it was 10 thousand..) dollars for concrete evidence/proof of a person with psychic ability.. Someone remind me who he is.. I think your friend would be very interested in this.

Maybe because we are in our most sensitive, vulnerable state when we are entering/exiting sleep.

dustin man, try not to get fazed by us "skeptics". there are lots of people around who will tell you your experiences mean amazing things, and because your experiences can sometimes feel really mind-blowingly amazing you can sometimes be a bit too eager to believe that they mean something....but if you really want to work things out FOR YOURSELF you have to question everything right? and that's what people like swami and schlorch are trying to get you to do! not just "question authority" or "question what you've been taught in school", but question everything!! don't just exchange one description of the world for another, realise that it is impossible to know for sure what all these experiences mean - hypothesize, analyse, think, question, but take your time!!

here's something that happened to me several months ago:

I was sitting in the park, sort of dreaming, thinking about the future no doubt that's been my thing recently, and just sort of letting the world pass by before my eyes, not really paying attention. there was a small toilet block in front of me, just to the right of my center of vision. there was some movement in my peripheral vision, two people moving from right to left in front of me, i just caught a glimpse as they moved behind the toilet block - but i saw (this is all in the space of a second, out of the corner of my eye) a small boy in a red baseball cap. i waited for a few seconds, and two old ladies entered my field of vision from behind the toilet, moving from right to left. there was no boy in a red hat, i looked behind the toilet block (which was only about two meters square) and there was no boy, and nowhere he could have gone. there was no boy, neither of the old women was even wearing anything red, yet in that glimpse my mind had created a vivid and definate image of a boy in a red hat.

should i assume that i saw a shape changer?

looks like i'm trying to give you advice here or something, maybe trying to make a point without being an asshole i don't know, but please don't divide people up into "believers" and "skeptics".

maybe it was the military, maybe it was an alien ship, maybe it was a will'o'wisp or a faery, or a demon of the ancient world, maybe it was a dream, maybe it was some energy awakening inside your body, maybe you ate some crazy shit for dinner that night, maybe it was a migraine, maybe you have or had really high or low blood pressure that night.

it's good that you feel special though, like you're supposed to do something great. try to keep that feeling man i think everyone has it, or used to have it, but we're sort of taught that it's arrogance or "big-headed" or something. ever noticed how bad everyones posture is? no one wants to sit up straight and stand out, just fit in, go with the flow and maybe the cool kids will like you....
