Continue from this topic.
Here's my method that doesn't really involve wrapping it.

Would the jar even get any heat off of that?

I've often heard heating pads are a fire hazard, don't ask my why or how, its just the general consensus I've observed.

tehre are many reptile mats....either way it should have a thermostat which means you set it to whatever you want....no thermostat=fire hazard.

heat tape is dangerous, dont bother.

no need to heat a jar unless your room is below 70(F)...bottom line

Hah, I tried this on my first grow, too. I insulated with blankets and everything. It still got my jars to 100F+ while I wasn't looking. They did survive, but it isn't exactly ideal.

Then I found out incubation is absolutely unnecessary, and never looked back. Seriously, don't even bother, just keep them somewhere in the (pref. mid-to-upper) 70s and you're fine.

i fried my first jars with the heatmat...now i adjusted my design, and it works wonders!

As you can see, the heatmat is all the way at the bottom (its 5x11"), and i have 2 sets of 4dvd cases (empty) between my incubator and the mat itself.
The dvds tend to mellow out the heat and trap it in their empty shell...the temps are rather pleasing, 80-82F.
I could make it warmer or cooler by simply adding more dvds

hope this ghetto setup helps

I assume you mean C. Even still, that's only like 59F. That's fucking cold man, are they outside or something?

I've got this awesome incubator setup, guys, and it's called the cabinet above my fridge. 78-80F, 24/7. Man, I'm glad I put all that work into it! :P

Ok would this work. I put the reptile tape under a shoebox then inside the shoebox I put a dvd then the jar on top of the shoebox. Would this work. THis is the best thing I can think of.

Reptile tape + shoebox = fire hazard.

All I'm saying is, can't you find some place indoors that's heated to a comfortable room temperature? Because a comfortable living temp is all you need. As long as it's over 70F/21C and under 82F/28C you're fine.

Forget heat for incubation unless you live in Alaska.
70deg F is all you need. No contams. Fast colonization with LC.
Those incubation teks are old news but only good if you can't get your area where you are colonizing up to 70 def f.

HE CAN SEE HIS BREATH WHERE HIS JARS ARE! Turntable, is there any possible way for you to construct a heatbomb or a TiT ( something a lil safer than a heating mat?)
edit:change my tone (first thing in the morning lol.

Oh I missed that part abou the 15 degrees...Jesus dood get them out of the freezer.

Green 420 is right.
TIT or heat bomb is probably the best way to go.
You want ambient heat...you don't want to heat the jar.
Actually I made a heat bomb, put a little bleach in the water
and that thing lasted all winter w/o a prob.
Thats a little nicer because you don't have to deal
with tubs and can put it all in a cabinet and you don't
have to deal with rank water in the TIT.

My girl has rank water in her TIT, bad news.
