AFOAF is making his own 50/50+ casing and the lime he bought at a garden center has
12% magnesium
20% calcium
101.1% calcium carbonate
He heard high amounts of calcium Over 2% may depress mycelial growth is this true or can this be safely used. thanks

NO the bag doesn't say that. But THE MUSHROOM CULTIVATOR says some researchers have reported depressed mycelial growth in casings high in magnesium. at least for Agaricus(not what i'm doing)
