stalled cake?

from what people have been telling me, Orissa India is a very slow strain. well, my jars have been incubating for one week now. i really can't see any bright white specks of mycelium. i might be confusing some possible spots with clumps of BRF. any recommendations? would it be smart to remove the lids and allow some air exchange? or would that increase my risk of contam? any help would be appreciated.

Yeah, if you do see contams go give them to some kids on the street to play with... Tell them its candy and it smells really good.
