Wal-Mart (A.K.A ShroomMart) look in the hardware section, also Fred Meyer and stores of the such should have all the types your looking for.

If you want to get fancy, get an X10 controller with the computer interface. You can schedual on and off times any way you want, then download it to the controller and turn of the PC.

Here's what you guys want for timeing your various equipment and it's a no fuss no muss device. Plus it's not so pricey to forbid the more serious experimentor

I've been thinking I'd like to get my terrarium wired to my computer, so that it can respond to humidity or temp. drops, what can you tell me about this 'X10' controler?!

X-10 is the most common type of PC based programmable controller. Just type X-10 into any search engine and you'll find a shitload of stuff.
