I had some one footer PRs open and blue my substrate surface....now the little shrooms around the blue area are not growing...WTF?

what I mean is I neglected my shrooms and they opened up past maturity, and released spores all over the substate, now the little pins that were forming are covered in spores and wont grow....anyone?

this JUST happened to me, so if your still out there, post and let me know if they ever srarted to grow again, did you get any more flushes?

Ahhh.... Proof that it's not a myth that spore droppage on a substrate surface inhibits further flushes.

no so true i had spores dump on my cakes and casings and i had pins grow through that....

you dont think i have to worry about billions of spores hitting my casings do you? i mean theres like 12 spore dropping shrooms with a fan blasting air on them in the same room as my other terrariums right now, and im in a different state till tommorrow...they would be pretty spread out, but thats like having 12 spore prints just floating around a very small bedroom.. my casings havent pinned yet, i would be pissed to not get at least one big flush over one small incident

Well, all I can say is "it's possible"...

The wild thing is, if they make it into your bathroom you may find a few surprises in the corners growing off the grout in a couple of weeks!

I've seen that happen... Mind blowing.
