 Traffic Stop Leads Police to 500 Pounds of Marijuana

A routine traffic stop led Metro police officers to a stash of more than 500 pounds of marijuana in a south Nashville apartment early Tuesday.
Officers arrested Joseph Fugh about 10 p.m. Monday in the parking lot of a strip mall near Old Hickory Boulevard and Nolensville Road. A bag of marijuana was in the car he was in, police said.
Police said Fugh admitted that he had a large amount of marijuana in his apartment at the Mission Brentwood complex, at 1000 Enclave Circle.
Officers searched his apartment about 2 a.m. and found a dozen bundles of marijuana, amounting to a wholesale value of at least $400,000, police said.
East Precinct officers had gathered information about drug activity in the area from a driver who was stopped for running a red light last Thursday night. The information led to Fugh's arrest.
"It just led through investigations to this large quantity here," said Officer Marty Reed, who made the traffic stop last week.
Police said they suspect that Fugh could be a major supplier of marijuana to the east Nashville area.

wow, more people need to know there rights, such as you can reuest a lawyer and they cant "legally" ask you any more questions, and you dont have to consent to searches.Thats alot of bud he's gonna get a few years:( One more person to add to the drug war body count.

I'm to the point that I don't even care about the actual drugs being seized. The war on drugs is hurting families and norml people more than the affects of any drug. How can John Walters call growers terrorists that that would help other terrorists to kill Americans, when they actually do kill Americans? Just start a war DEA and you'll see some stoners off there couch out with there guns, theres more of us then them

If a true to life war were started by the DEA, you can count me in.  They want to label me as a terrorist, then by god I'll show them some terror.

Wow, it wasnt until i came to the shroomery that i realized how criminal it is for any government to tell us what we can and cant put into our own bodies, just fucking wow... I cant wait till prohibition ends and we can look back on these days as outlaws in the land that wouldnt give us the freedom we deserve as human beings!

Man did any of you guys see the fuckin blocks of pot they got this guy with, like 35lbs each, it looked like a square bail of hay wrapped in clear plastic on the cops shoulder. I live just south of this area and was amazed at the sizes of these blocks. Im for sure in on that war, they would just be overwhelmed by hords of heads lol.
